BARBIE'S 50th Birthday Party

Let the PARTY begin!
I thought long and hard over which party from the early submissions to feature FIRST! As I struggled over the decision, one party became the clear choice.

Barbie's 50th Birthday Party! 

          

I mean what defines "Girly Girl" better than a Barbie Bash?!

The Hostess (with the mostess) had a VIP press pass and shared some of the party details.

The guest list included Girly celebrities like Heidi Klum, Lauren Conrad and Kourtney Kardashian.

Guests arrived and strutted their stuff down the Pink Carpet. Some even stopped to have their photo snapped in a Pink VW Beetle complete with a pop-up make-up vanity.

The party location was a REAL Malibu Dream House in Malibu, California.

Celebrity event planner Colin Cowie and interior designer Jonathan Adler teamed up to bring this once in a life time event to life.

A few party details:
3,000 Pink roses were used for the decor.
146 pounds of Pink Candy was displayed on the dessert bar for guests to satisfy their guilty indulgences.
A wall was adorned with 750 actual Barbie Dolls!

Look at these lovely roses shaped like high heel centerpieces...TDF! Did you notice that they are placed on lucite tables that are filled with Barbie brushes? Raise your hands moms if your daughter has a collection of Barbie brushes laying around your house somewhere ;)

What a clever idea for Party Treats! Pink smores with custom labeled mini chocolate bars.

The Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas has a Barbie Suite that claims "girls of all ages can experience the fantasy and fun of Barbie’s lifestyle."

I suggest that if you celebrate an under 21 party that you lock the girls in the suite!! ;)

STOP THE PRESSES!!!

I just took a closer look at the chairs in the Barbie Malibu Dream House and noticed another TDF detail!! LOOK AT THE CHAIRS!  They are skirted, corseted, lace-up "dress" chairs.' 

And HOLY BARBIE HAIR check out the chandeliers!
